【Abstract】AIM:Toassesstheeffectsoforthodonticstreatmentororthognathicsurgeryonthesofttissuechangesofbimaxillaryprotrusionpatients.METHODS:Fourteenorthodonticallytreatedcasesand13surgicallytreatedcaseswerechosen.ElevenhardandsofttissuemeasurementswereanalyzedbySPSSstatisticalsoftware.RESULTS:Thesofttissuesoftheorthodonticallytreatedgrouphadsignificantchanges（P<0.05）inallthemeasurementsexceptforGSnPg,SNPg,GoGnSn,andGPnPg.LsPnPgdecreased2.95mmonaverageandLiPnPgdecreased3.71mmonaverage（P<0.05）.ThesofttissuesofthesurgicallytreatedgroupalsohadsignificantchangesinallthemeasurementsexceptforGoGnSn.CONCLUSION:Bothorthodonticaltreatmentandorthognathicsurgerycanchangethesofttissuesofbimaxillaryprotrusionpatients.Orthognathicsurgeryisbetterthansimpleorthodonticaltreatmentinimprovingtheshapeofsoftchinofbimaxillayprotrusion.......
